What’s Up With Pretty Sweet?
Pretty Sweet functions as a pre-order bakery and is open for retail Tuesdays to Saturdays 10-2.
Pretty Sweet is all about making sweets taste as good as they look and vice versa.
We try to celebrate desserts beyond the cupcake (although we do make a pretty mean cupcake if we say so ourselves…) and bring forth an inspired product from beginning to end.
A modern interpretation of old school recipes and the awesomest ingredients that can be found is what makes us pretty sweet.
From custom wedding cakes, donuts or french macarons, to dainties just like your granny used to make, we strive for excellence in everything that comes out of our kitchen.
We are based in an industrial bay in Calgary, AB. Our retail hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10-2.
Pre-orders are our jam though, you can place and order and pick up any day of the week (with the exception of Mondays + Sundays)
Meet Vicki Manness!
From an early age, Vicki had an interest in being in the kitchen. Through years of helping her grandmothers and mother in the kitchen she knew she wanted to make her passion her career.
After graduating high school she went on to get a diploma in Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts at SAIT.
Through years of working in local faves such as Diner Deluxe, Big Fish, Nectar, River Café, and The Little Cupcake Shoppe, she earned two Red Seal Certifications in both Cooking and Baking.
In 2008 she started a custom baking business called Pretty Sweet where she made custom cakes and sweets from scratch using her grandmother’s recipes and putting a modern twist on them.
In 2016, Vicki finally leased an industrial space and developed a kitchen where she could continue her passion. She soon hired her first employee and things took off from there. She now has a staff of 8 talented gals and together they make magic through baked goods.
