We are looking for bakery assistants to join our team!

Are you a motivated and loyal individual looking to work in a fast growing and dynamic bake shop? Then look no further. Pretty Sweet is looking for a Part Time Seasonal and a Full Time Bakery Assistant. Applicant must be available Tuesday- Sunday between the hours of 6:00am-4:00pm. Some duties include;

Front of House:

• Assist customers in selecting products that best fit their personal needs.
• Process all sales transactions accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Responsible for weekly cash outs and maintaining cash float.
• Take general orders, ensuring attention to detail in order to produce items according to customer specifications.
• Keeping work space clean and organized in accordance to food handling standards and ensuring;
  • Front counter is clean at all times
  • All shelving is kept clean and dust free
  • Tasting table is wiped and clean at all times
  • Floors are swept and mopped
  • Plants are watered
  • Bathroom is kept clean at all times
  • Boxes and packaging item are kept organized and easily available
• Ensure a reasonable stock of bakery boxes are built for the front as well as cake and donut boxes for the back or any other packaging goods required.
• Stocking and restocking as needed, of all baked goods for the counter.

Back of House:

• Assist Bakers with preparation of baked goods.
• Under the direction of the Bakers, prepare menu items in accordance with recipe specifications.
• Combine ingredients, mix and place in trays for baking.
• Consistently meet deadlines and fulfill daily task list.
• Packing assembly of baked goods for order and markets.
• Maintain cleanliness of bakeshop at all times by ensuring;
  • Dishes are properly washed and put away
  • Floors and working areas are kept clean
  • Any other cleaning duties required
• Any other task or duty required and assigned by management.

At Pretty Sweet we pride ourselves on operating as a team. In order to do so we must work together to complete various tasks. To ensure operations run smooth and effective, it is the responsibility of all team members to keep the bakeshop clean. All team members are also encouraged to answer the phone and direct the call in a proper and professional matter. Team members may also be asked to help with deliveries, event set ups, grocery and supply pick-ups and other various tasks as assigned my management.
